British Open Winners and Losers

I know you guys wish you had as much knowledge and understanding of picking the winners as I do…

Here are the categories -
Categories:
Champ: the obvious, who do you think will win?
The Sergio: a.k.a. the K.P., honoring the golfer who will look good throughout the tourney, but somehow manage to let the win slip away in the last few holes and thus come up short of winnig a major. (Since we’re in European territory, I felt it appropriate to change the name.)
Sleeper: no one is talking about him now, but come Sunday he is in the hunt and contending for the trophy.
Open Maniac: whenever everyone else shoots 78 or 79, this guy cards a 68; however, whenever everyone shoots 68, he cards an 81.

Read the winners and wish you would have picked them -

Champ - Paul Casey - top driving accy. and gir… and #3 in world rankings
The Sergio - Greg Norman - a first time major winner on this course
The Sleeper - Camillo Villegas - he has the shot making abilities and now the patience
Open Maniac - Robert Allenby - you never who is going to show up

Lucas Glover

The man to watch at the British Open… he may become one of those who can claim 2 major championships in one year… He is focused and in the zone. I look for him to finish well again…

Pattern with Tiger this year

Is there a pattern this year with Tiger… Tiger won at Bay Hill in March, went to the Masters for his next event and tied for sixth. Tiger won the Memorial in June, went to the U.S. Open for his next event and tied for sixth. Last week Tiger won his own event at Congressional and he’ll play his next event next week at the British Open… where do you think he will finish?

Tiger

How about the putt that Tiger made on the 16th hole to take the lead. He knew he had to make the putt in order to win his First tournament he and his Father had dreamed of hosting with the benefits going to military veterans and causes, and sure enough from 22 feet he drained it in the center of the cup. It is amazing how he can make big putts like that.
