Hilton Head Island SC 29926

countryclubhh1.jpgThe COUNTRY CLUB OF HILTON HEAD is what island golfing is all about. Rees Jones spared nothing in designing a course that gives golfers everything they've been looking for. This course features an abundance of mounding and contoured fairways which use the natural elevation changes. The 13 doglegs test your decision making as you transverse over and around pot and sculpted bunkers, fresh water lagoons, and the coastal salt water marsh. If the tiered undulating greens don't keep you on your toes the two par 5's that stretch almost 600 yards will. Inside the strictly residential Hilton Head Plantation, the Country Club gives you the flavor of what island living is really like. This course seems to especially be a favorite of mixed golfers. Year Opened 1986.

Yes hosting the US Open qualifying annually speaks loudly about the quality of this facility and the demands you will find on your golf game.
The course meanders in the Southern Pines and out to the marshlands wher te wind blows uniterrupted.
Nice views to add to the elevated greens and fairways requiring many shaped shots.
